Once a year, AAPE sponsors a youth exhibit featuring the work of outstanding youth (primarily from the U.S. and Canada).
Each participant has won a youth grand award at a nationally accredited show, as listed, in the United States or Canada,
with at least a national level silver medal.
The program was started as NAYSEC by the late Mike Jolly. Ada Prill developed it into its present form as the
"AAPE Youth Champion of Champions." Carol and Robert Barr are the current directors.
In 2007, the National Topical Stamp Show (NTSS) was host to 24 frames of
exhibits, by eight youth. The jury was comprised of Darrell Ertzberger, Liz Hisey and Tim Bartshe.
In addition to the Grand Award, a number of other awards, certificates, and ribbons were presented;
these had been donated by various societies and individuals.
